The factor that leads the company to choose an IDaaS as their solution is that the in-house team lacks resources to support an on-premise solution. IDaaS is a cloud-based service that provides identity and access management capabilities, such as single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, or identity federation, to the users and applications of an organization. IDaaS can offer the following advantages over an on-premise solution, which is a solution that is installed and managed by the organization itself, on its own servers or infrastructure:
* It can reduce the cost and complexity of the solution, as the organization does not need to purchase, install, configure, or maintain the hardware, software, or network components of the solution.
* It can improve the scalability and availability of the solution, as the organization can easily adjust the capacity and performance of the solution, based on the demand and usage, and rely on the cloud service provider to ensure the uptime and reliability of the solution.
* It can enhance the security and compliance of the solution, as the organization can leverage the expertise and resources of the cloud service provider to protect the identity and access data and processes, and to meet the regulatory and industry standards and requirements. One of the factors that could lead the company to choose an IDaaS as their solution is that the in-house team lacks resources to support an on-premise solution. This could mean that the in-house team does not have the sufficient budget, staff, skills, or time to implement and manage an on-premise solution, and that the in-house team would benefit from outsourcing the identity and access management functions to a cloud service provider.
