Explanation
Adaptive QoS is a feature that automatically adjusts the QoS throughput ceiling or floor based on the volume size, either used or allocated. The QoS throughput ceiling is the maximum number of IOPS or MB/s that a volume can consume. Therefore, any change that affects the volume size, such as adding data to the volume or resizing the volume, would affect the QoS throughput ceiling. Adding disks to the volume's aggregate or having more clients access the volume would not affect the QoS throughput ceiling, as they do not change the volume size.
