Available Power Modes
HP currently offers three different power modes for Gen9 Storage controllers. You can set these power modes in the HPSSA.
Balanced. The controller configures the static settings based on configuration of the arrays attached to

the controller. During operation, it may also reduce power consumption based on the workload by changing those settings that are dynamically controllable.
Max Performance. The controller configures the static settings for the highest possible performance

and power consumption. This remains fixed, with no dynamic adjustments made during operation.
Minimum Power. The controller configures the static settings for the lowest possible power

consumption and may reduce dynamic settings based on workload.
