An enclosure is a physical structure that can contain server blades, infrastructure hardware, and

interconnects. The enclosure provides the hardware connections between the interconnect downlinks and the installed server blades.
When you add an enclosure to be managed, you specify an enclosure group. Enclosure groups enable

you to maintain configuration consistency among enclosures. Each enclosure group is associated with a logical interconnect group. The logical interconnect group enables creation and configuration of logical interconnects. Each enclosure is associated with a logical interconnect. That provides the configuration of all interconnects in the enclosure.
