When you select Create Set from a right-click menu on specific marks in the view, Tableau creates a fixed set. A fixed set includes the specific items you selected at that moment and does not change dynamically when the underlying data changes. In contrast, dynamic sets are based on conditions that adjust as data updates. Combined sets and Top N sets require additional configuration and are not created directly from selecting marks in the view.
