The customer must manually back up the TDE keystore to a secure location and restore it when needed1. The other types of files, such as database archivelog files, server parameter file, and database control files, are backed up by default by the automatic backups feature of Exadata Cloud@Customer1. The automatic backups feature performs daily incremental backups and weekly full backups of the database, and also backs up the configuration files and metadata of the database1. The customer can also perform on-demand full backups of the database using the Console, the API, or the CLI1.
