C? Not likely. YOU COULD DO THAT, but then you'd be running on the same equipment that you're waiting to phase out by way of failure. Using a hybrid cloud allows one to phase out equipment without losing any life time, and since it is possible to save data by way of redundancy, it makes sense to utilize a hybrid cloud raid.

Creating a private cloud using equipment you know is running low on life is the same as NOT USING A CLOUD at all ... create a hybrid, placing all of the data in the cloud, and create redundancy standbys on meter service, so you don't have to pay for any of it until it actually starts working when the on-premises equipment fails.
